Dr Allin Marrow

Dr Allin Marrow grew up in Kerang in Northern Victoria.
He was educated at Kerang High School, then in Melbourne University. He graduated with degrees in Science and Medicine in 1970, the undertook Postgraduate Hospital Medical training at Royal Melbourne, Royal Women's, and at Fairfield & Royal Park Hospitals in Melbourne.

Allin also spent an extended hospital experience in Obstetrics and Anaesthetics in England before General practice training at Mount Beauty in NE Victoria, which lead to fellowship of the Royal Australian college of General Practitioners.

Dr Marrow then sought further training in Internal Medicine at Royal Canberra Hospital, followed by specialist Anaesthetic training in England which lead to fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in the UK.

in 1981 Dr Marrow moved to Traralgon, working at the Deakin Street Clinic - which later became Breed Street Clinic. Except for one year away he has lived in the area since then, and has continued to work in all areas of General Practice and in some Hospital specialities since that time.

Dr Marrow has been involved as a teacher and supervisor for General Practice training over the past 15 years. He is a part time Senior Lecturer at the Monash School of Rural Health which is based at Latrobe regional Hospital. His involvement in General Practice training and his support to junior doctors in Rural Procedural work in Rural areas has led Dr Marrow reducing his General Practice to a very limited part time commitment at Breed Street Clinic from 2003.

Specialist shortages and teaching commitments will probably mean the continuation of the current work commitments for the foreseeable future.
